About DeWalt Air Nailers

DeWalt is renowned for its wide range of power tools for the woodworking and the construction industries. The company was first started in 1924 by the inventor of radial arm saw, Raymond E. DeWalt. Because of its rapid growth it had to be reorganized in the year 1947. The company mainly manufactured woodworking stationary machines and radial arm saws. In 1949, the American machine and foundation Co. Inc purchased the company and kept it till 1960 when it was sold to Black & Decker. In 1989, Black & Decker divested the manufacturing branch of radial arm saw and sold it to two different executives. If you are one of those who is looking for the original design of DeWalt’s radial arm saw, you can get it from the Original Saw Co.

Black & Decker decided to make a serious effort to rebrand and raise its high-end power tools and professional qualifications and quality to DeWalt in 1992. Today, DeWalt sells and manufactures over 300 different hand-held equipments and power tools and accessories numbering to about 800. Dewalt boasts of cordless and corded drills, hammers, saws, routers, sanders, grinders, planers, generators, plate joiners, air nailers and compressors. They also have saw blades, masonry drill bits, metal drill bits, screw driving accessories, abrasives and a lot more. ELU, the German producer of wood working power tools was taken over by DeWalt in 1994 and then used ELU’s technology to increase their own tools line. This worked out to their advantage as they were able to establish themselves as a popular brand world wide in the commercial section of tools. Their tools have sponsored Matt Kenseth, the NASCAR driver since 1999. Recently in July this year, DeWalt has announced that it will consider renewing the sponsorship for the 2010 season with Roush Fenway Racing owing to construction industry’s poor economic conditions.

Be it nationally or internationally, the tools made by DeWalt are easily available anywhere. They have over 1,000 factories that are owned at authorized locations all throughout the world.
