About Cadex Air Nailers

Cadex, located in Vancouver, Canada was established in 1980 by the CEO, President and Founder Isidor Buchmann. Cadex Electronics Inc. previously known as Buchmann Enterprises Inc. recognized that batteries made out of nickel-cadmium were not reaching their full potential and that needed a battery analyzer to achieve this. The company set about to develop this battery analyzer so that the nickel-cadmium batteries could be exercised and rejuvenated.

The initial days activities were carried out at the founders residence in a small room. They were granted registeration for their trademark in the name of Cadex in 1985 and then decided to change the company name to the current one. The name Cadex was inspired from CADmium-Exerciser. After that there was no turning back. In 1981 they developed the Cadex 450 battery analyzer with a recondition program to restore nickel-cadmium batteries that were memory affected. In 1983 the first modular battery analyzer was developed known as the Cadex 550 which was a success with public safety organizations, railways and oil companies as it proved useful for users of two-way radios. In 1985 they manufactured and developed the End-of-Train-Unit, a fast charger based on microprocessor. The Government of Canada awarded Cadex with funds to develop newer battery analyzer systems. The year 1988 saw the development of compact battery analyzers which was lower in cost compared to C6000. In 1991 they gave the world the first programmable battery analyzer and in 1992 a ruggedized battery analyzer which was meant for defence. They also were a part of a US defence program for five years. They even won the British Columbia Export Award in 1996. In 1997 they published their first handbook for non-engineers on rechargeable batteries.

Almost every year they strive to better themselves in their power tools development. The company rose well, in fact, it also opened an office in Europe in 2007. The Cadex Management system is certified to ISO 9002 standard in 1998, to ISO 9001 in 1999, and to ISO 13485 in 2005. In the airnailer range they are known to produce the headless pin and brad nailer.
